A promising season.

The Bahrain GP and its results have brought in hope of a more competitive season than the 2005 season – with one dampener which I will get to later.

The First row occupancy by the Ferraris was a stunning return to form. In fact, apparently not even Michael Schumacher believed they were so competitive – his post race comments almost indicated that (he came 2nd).

Fernando Alonso’s race win was a classic “Ferrari” – or “Schumi” win. No, not a typo. With the fuel/tyre pit stops, Schumi would generally get his rivals with blistering in-laps and a lightning pit-crew teamwork – which would result in enough of a lead (with more built on, further up) to win. Alonso’s run-up to the 2nd pit stop was just that. Although Schumacher had done almost the same in the 1st round of pitstops, he did not have enough of an advantage going into his 2nd stop – and lost out by the proverbial car-length whisker.

Kimi Raikkonen’s drive to 3rd was fantastic for McLaren, and made you wonder what JPM was thinking, or rather doing with an obviously fast car?

Well, all in all a competitive season with McLaren, Ferrari and Renault all on the same pace and about the same reliability (all 2nd drivers had some problem or the other)

The only problem with this competitive season might be that Mad Max is gonna think its because of his idiotic ideas and FRIGGING STUPID qualifying rules that the races are interesting. I hope the moron is put into forced retirement! :-X

  3. [...] This season is gonna be awesome! That much I can assure you! And again, this time, Kimi has ALL the chances to finish 1st! Isn’t it kinda evident by his last place start and 3rd place finish? That man can drive! If Kimi joins Ferrari next year and Schumy is still with Ferrari, I can assure you, maybe just maybe, I may support Kimi for the driver’s championship! [...]
