Bring on the bowling machines.

Cricinfo thinks this is the greatest cricket match, ever.
I beg to differ. It was a close match and a high scoring one. But cricket isnt

1. Bowl ball.
2. See the ball hitting or crossing the rope.
3. retrieve ball.
4. Repeat.

The only reason that match even deserves attention is that South Africa did not choke.
Scores of 434 and 438, while meaning that there was a lot of big hitting(80+ fours and 20+sixes) hardly mean anything beyond that. (Of course full credit to SA for not choking, and Australia for setting the bar high)
A lot of people seem to forget that cricket is about batting AND bowling, fielding. If there are any more matches with huge scores – and evenly contested as well, expect a barrage from the media. Till then, they’ll happily plug away at “record” scores.
